EAST SOS’s Tailed Super Team: From Newcomers to Experienced Specialists
Our team has furry helpers who bring a little extra warmth, joy, and care into the workday.
This time, we would like you to meet the dogs Liolia and Joy, as well as an entire cat family – Abrykos, Jerry, Myshka, and Polina.
Liolia – a legal consultant when she feels like it
The dog of Alina Bilen, a lawyer from Zaporizhzhia, joined the team in April 2025. Over more than a year, Liolia has learned a lot about the foundation’s work. She even joins legal consultations, though only when she is in the right mood. She also keeps a close eye on everything happening around her: she barks indignantly at explosions and always expresses her opinion if she is unhappy with something.

Liolia has her own work schedule. A mandatory afternoon nap is part of it.
“I am already quite an experienced team member and keep everything around me under control. Sometimes I even consult. Just please do not plan anything during my afternoon nap,” Liolia said.

Joy – a specialist in getting attention
In June 2026, Olena Davidova, EAST SOS Regional Manager in Kharkiv Oblast, got a furry helper named Joy. The puppy was a gift from her daughter. Now the five-month-old little one is only beginning to get to know our team and its mission.
Joy is calm and very playful at the same time. He is always happy to see guests: he greets them by wagging his tail and jumping with joy. He also loves attention and is ready to do anything to get it. If his owner is busy, Joy first cries pitifully, and if that does not work, he starts to growl.

“What I love most is playing with a ball, running races, and spending time with my family. If everyone suddenly gets busy, I have a few reliable ways to remind them that it is time to play a little,” Joy shared.
Abrykos, Jerry, Myshka, and Polina – a special furry unit
Project Manager at EAST SOS Oleksandra Nahorna has four cats at home: ginger Abrykos, white-and-ginger Jerry, grey Myshka, and grey-and-white Polina.
“There are more cats than people in our family, and we are proud of it,” Oleksandra jokes.
Each of them has their own story of becoming part of the family. Jerry and Myshka were taken from a forest in Kyiv Oblast,

Polina came to the family from Oleksandra’s grandmother,

and Abrykos arrived from Vinnytsia Oblast and, according to his owner, became “a cool Kyiv local.”

Their personalities are just as different. Myshka likes conquering doors, while the others prefer more traditional cat activities – eating well, sleeping soundly, and getting their share of care.
“All the cats are different, each with their own personality. That is exactly why we truly love them,” Oleksandra shares.
Some of our tailed helpers already have plenty of teamwork experience, some are only just getting to know the foundation, and some simply prefer naps and treats. But they all share one mission – to stay close to the people who love them, make everyday life a little warmer, and they are doing an excellent job.
