East SOS Team Brought Easter Greetings to 115 Evacuees in Dnipro and Kharkiv Temporary Shelters

Hope shines brightest during Easter, yet it is renewed every day through the actions of each and every one of us.

As we celebrate Easter, we once again unite in our belief in the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair. In times of war, when our convictions, principles, and faith in the future are tested every day, it becomes especially important to find the strength to share with others the most precious things – care, support, and a sense of celebration that we strive to preserve. Especially at Easter.

Once again, our entire East SOS community came together to prepare Easter greetings for residents of temporary shelters: children and adults visiting the “Zatyshno space” in Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia created handmade greeting cards. Our regional teams in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Uzhhorod also joined the initiative.

Our partners – LLC “Kitchen Secret”, the Horbachov family bakery, and entrepreneur Volodymyr Myliukha – donated traditional Easter cakes as symbols of warmth, home comfort, and a holiday spirit that should remain part of people’s lives even in the darkest times.

By joining efforts, we shared this holiday with 115 evacuated elderly people and people with disabilities who are awaiting permanent accommodation. Warm greetings, words of support, and wishes for recovery brought encouragement to residents of the Social Adaptation Center for People with Disabilities by NGO “Ocean of Kindness” and the shelter on Nezlamna Street in Dnipro, as well as the “Without Borders” transit shelter network in Kharkiv, supported by our trusted partners from NGO “Volunteer-68”.

On this great Easter holiday, may light reach everyone – in their homes, temporary shelter, and hearts learning to trust and start over. May there always be people nearby whose support keeps hope alive and strengthens faith in the future. Christ is Risen!

As a reminder, East SOS and the CF “League of Good” continue supporting frontline hromadas (communities) in the Kharkiv Oblast.
