Two children are among the injured and are in critical condition. Explosions continue to be heard across the city.
Two 15-year-old girls were killed in a strike on downtown Chernihiv. According to preliminary reports, more than 20 people were injured, including four children.
In the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, a russian drone hit a multi-story residential building. Three people were killed, while two adults and one child were injured.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. We wish all those injured a speedy recovery.
russia continues to terrorize the civilian population by targeting residential buildings, public spaces, and civilian infrastructure. Every day, russian terrorists kill and maim civilians, destroy homes, and endanger human lives even far from the front lines.
We emphasize that deliberate attacks against the civilian population constitute a direct violation of international humanitarian law. These actions may be qualified as a war crime under Article 8 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
We urge the international community to document the crimes of the russian federation and step up its support for Ukraine.
