The report covers 220 schools across the Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, and Kharkiv regions. Some surveyed schools, particularly in Luhansk and parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, are displaced and currently operating remotely due to ongoing occupation.

On June 30, 2023, the Vostok SOS Charity Foundation published a report detailing the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovka Dam by russian occupying forces.
From the first day of the disaster, the Foundation’s team was present on the ground, with its hotline responding to urgent appeals from victims. In cooperation with the State Emergency Service, volunteers, and NGO representatives, Vostok SOS provided critical humanitarian assistance — including the delivery of water and hot meals, and the coordination of evacuation teams that rescued civilians from the flooded zones.
The devastating impact of this man-made disaster affected not only the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions but also Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia. The report provides an in-depth look at the conditions during the first days of the tragedy and the environmental and economic consequences.
Learn about changes in rescue conditions and evacuation efforts, coordination with volunteers, NGOs, and emergency services, inaction of occupation authorities in left-bank Kherson and incidents of persecution and the fatal consequences of the flooding and the terrorist actions of the russian federation in the full report here.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, teachers are facing unprecedented challenges: distance learning format, adapting teaching methods for distance learning, and high levels of stress.
