MESH: “Multisectoral Emergency Support for High-Severity Hromadas”

Project goal

To provide comprehensive, vulnerability and needs-based, multisectoral assistance to the most vulnerable people, including evacuees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), residing in collective centers (CC), transit centers (TC), and private households in target hromadas, according to Strategic Priorities 1 and 2 of the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan.

Project objectives
  • Conduct light and medium repairs of households, as well as the repair and stabilization of water supply and sewage systems;
  • Raise awareness among the population regarding evacuation opportunities, particularly for people with limited mobility, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and women with children; provide support in finding temporary and permanent housing; supply assistive rehabilitation devices;
  • Provide mobile phones and seasonal clothing for those in transit centers;
  • Ensure continuous operation of hospitals, mass gathering places, and other critical infrastructure facilities by providing backup electricity and water supply using inverter systems, and improving central heating systems in collective-use buildings, including the replacement of boilers and pipeline networks.
