East SOS vacancy announcement: Shelter Administrator (Dnipro)
The Charity Foundation “East SOS” has been uniting those committed to Ukraine’s future since 2014. With the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion, we have significantly expanded our efforts to assist and protect as many victims of russian aggression as possible. We operate across government-controlled areas, providing evacuation and accommodation services, renovating shelters and IDP centers, documenting possible war crimes, implementing educational programs, delivering humanitarian aid, conducting monitoring visits, advocating for systemic changes, and offering legal and psychological support. Our regional psychosocial and legal support teams are active in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv.

We are looking for a Shelter Administrator:
- Dnipro (on-site);
- shift-based schedule (24-hour shift followed by two days off);
- remuneration discussed during the interview.
Key responsibilities:
- introducing residents to the accommodation agreement and shelter rules and monitoring compliance;
- compiling and regularly updating residents’ needs assessments;
- coordinating and communicating with protection officers and psychologists;
- monitoring the cleaning schedule;
- providing basic daily living support to shelter residents with reduced mobility and those requiring care, including assistance with personal hygiene when needed;
- communicating with the Foundation’s humanitarian, psychological, social support, and evacuation teams;
- responding promptly to emergencies and conflicts between residents;
- maintaining resident records;
- assigning accommodation to new residents based on their individual needs;
- distributing hygiene items to residents;
- organizing meal provision;
- preparing reports on shelter operations;
- facilitating access to psychosocial support;
- informing residents about available services and assistance;
- participating in fire safety training and other mandatory training activities.
What we expect:
- experience in administrative work or social support services;
- strong organizational skills and a high level of responsibility;
- excellent communication and conflict resolution skills;
- showing empathy and respect towards people in vulnerable situations;
- resilience and the ability to work under pressure;
- basic financial or inventory record-keeping skills;
- confident PC user (Microsoft Office, email applications).
