East SOS vacancy announcement: Monitoring Officer (Dnipro)
The Charity Foundation “East SOS” has been uniting those committed to Ukraine’s future since 2014. With the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion, we have significantly expanded our efforts to assist and protect as many victims of russian aggression as possible. We operate across government-controlled areas, providing evacuation and accommodation services, renovating shelters and IDP centers, documenting possible war crimes, implementing educational programs, delivering humanitarian aid, conducting monitoring visits, advocating for systemic changes, and offering legal and psychological support. Our regional psychosocial and legal support teams are active in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv.

We are looking for a Monitoring Officer:
- Dnipro (on-site);
- ready for regular field visits to hromadas (communities) and the transit center in Pavlohrad;
- with a personal vehicle;
- remuneration discussed during the interview.
Key responsibilities:
- planning and conducting field visits to the regions where the projects are implemented;
- arranging logistics and coordinating with field teams and partners;
- conducting interviews, focus group discussions, surveys, and beneficiary assessments;
- checking the conditions of shelters and transit spaces, as well as monitoring hot meal provision and humanitarian aid distribution;
- collecting photo and video documentation, as well as supporting documents (lists, handover forms, receipts);
- identifying issues, risks, and potential irregularities in the course of aid distribution;
- assessing the quality and promptness of services provided;
- identifying additional needs of beneficiaries;
- participating in emergency response field visits;
- preparing detailed reports based on monitoring visits;
- submitting data to MEAL team members for further analysis;
- presenting findings at internal meetings;
- presenting the Foundation’s activities in the regions to stakeholders (civil society, authorities, NGOs, private sector, etc.);
- coordinating with regional teams to clarify and verify data;
- collaborating with government bodies, local authorities, and partners during data collection;
- participating in joint field missions with other teams (e.g., advocacy, evacuation, legal teams).
What we expect:
- higher education degree;
- personal vehicle and willingness to use it for field visits to hromadas (fuel and maintenance costs are covered);
- strong skills in data collection and analysis, writing, and the ability to clearly and concisely formulate conclusions and recommendations based on large volumes of information;
- strong attention to detail;
- high level of awareness of human rights violations, russian war crimes in Ukraine, and the humanitarian context;
- experience working, volunteering, or staying in areas affected by hostilities and crisis situations is an advantage;
- experience in civil society work and/or work in international/donor organizations, the public sector, think tanks, etc.;
- fluent Ukrainian, with English proficiency at an intermediate+ level.
