The Charity Foundation “East SOS” has been uniting those committed to Ukraine’s future since 2014. With the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion, we have significantly expanded our efforts to assist and protect as many victims of russian aggression as possible. Our core values are equality, tolerance, and humanity – reflected both in our work and in our team culture.

We operate across government-controlled areas, providing evacuation and accommodation services, renovating shelters and IDP centers, documenting possible war crimes, implementing educational programs, delivering humanitarian aid, conducting monitoring visits, advocating for systemic changes, and offering legal and psychological support. Our regional psychosocial and legal support teams are active in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv.

We are looking for a Lawyer:

  • Kyiv (on-site);
  • possible travel within Ukraine;
  • remuneration discussed during the interview.

Key responsibilities:

  • drafting, reviewing, and coordinating contracts with all relevant parties in connection with the Foundation’s activities;
  • preparing official requests and inquiries addressed to state authorities, local self-government bodies, enterprises, institutions, and organizations;
  • providing legal advice on matters including legislative changes, NGO/charitable organization operations, charitable assistance, volunteer and individual entrepreneur activities, financial reporting, etc.;
  • reviewing and verifying incoming documents for compliance with applicable laws;
  • drafting legal documents, property deeds, organizational policies, and other legal documentation;
  • carrying out assignments delegated by the Program Coordinator.

What we expect:

  • higher legal education;
  • sound understanding of the legal framework governing the operation of non-governmental organizations;
  • experience working in a charitable organization would be considered an advantage;
  • knowledge of construction legislation and experience in drafting and supporting construction contracts;
  • ability to analyze legal information and prepare analytical briefs based on legal research;
  • proficiency in English sufficient for professional communication would be considered an advantage.
