East SOS vacancy announcement: Compliance Manager (Kyiv)
The Charity Foundation “East SOS” has been uniting those committed to Ukraine’s future since 2014. With the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion, we have significantly expanded our efforts to assist and protect as many victims of russian aggression as possible. We operate across government-controlled areas, providing evacuation and accommodation services, renovating shelters and IDP centers, documenting possible war crimes, implementing educational programs, delivering humanitarian aid, conducting monitoring visits, advocating for systemic changes, and offering legal and psychological support. Our regional psychosocial and legal support teams are active in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv.

We are looking for a Compliance Manager:
- Kyiv (on-site);
- remuneration discussed during the interview.
Key responsibilities:
- drafting and updating of internal documents, including support in drafting and revising policies and procedures;
- participation in compliance reviews and investigations, including information gathering, preparation of supporting materials, and fact analysis;
- administration of complaints and reports, including registration, initial assessment, and preparation of reports;
- preparation of training and communication materials, including presentations, awareness-raising materials and internal ethics and integrity campaigns;
- monitoring of legislative and regulatory developments, including preparation of analytical briefs;
- promotion of a culture of integrity and ethical standards across the Foundation;
- support for transparency in workflows and prevention of misconduct;
- fostering trust and open communication within the Foundation;
- support for the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the compliance program;
- monitoring of compliance risks and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements to protect the Foundation’s reputation;
- strengthening compliance awareness through training and information initiatives.
What we expect:
- higher education degree in law, economics, or administration;
- practical experience in compliance;
- advanced knowledge of compliance practices and standards;
- experience participating in internal investigations, conflict resolution, and the handling of complaints from employees or third parties;
- fluent Ukrainian language skills;
- knowledge of legislation governing charitable organizations and familiarity with national and international compliance standards;
- experience drafting regulations, policies, and reports;
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- strong skills in preparing internal documents, analytical findings, presentations, and training materials;
- strong teamwork skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach;
- willingness to take responsibility;
- strong analytical skills, with the ability to balance attention to detail and strategic objectives;
- high ethical standards;
- commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
