We evacuated Mrs Raisa from Pleshchiivka in the Donetsk region

The russians constantly shell Pleshchiivka in the Donetsk region. The village is about 11 kilometers from Kostiantynivka and 10 kilometers from the nearest temporarily occupied territories. The day before yesterday, we evacuated Mrs Raisa from there.

The woman lived alone. The shelling smashed the windows in her house. Almost all the villagers fled, and now only four families live there. Her daughter and family lived in Toretsk, but the full-scale invasion forced them to move to the west of Ukraine.

The woman stayed until the very last moment: she suffered the shelling and hoped for the best. At one point, she decided to flee. Her daughter called the hotline, and we registered her for evacuation. Three days later, Mrs Raisa joined her family.

Members of the Foundation’s crew picked her up from Pleshchiivka and then took Mrs Raisa to an evacuation train. Today, the woman’s relatives called us again, thanking us for our help and support.

Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation is evacuating people from the frontline and the de-occupied territories. The hotline is open from Monday to Saturday (8 AM – 6 PM).
