Heating Points and Evacuation: Assistance to the Affected Population of Ukraine

Last week, the Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation team visited the Unbreakable Points in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. See the photos from the latest visit!

During the 2022-2023 heating season, we provided temporary accommodation facilities in different parts of Ukraine with generators, Starlink systems, water tanks, and equipment. This enabled the centers to prepare for possible blackouts in the autumn and winter.

During the monitoring, the Vostok SOS team talked to the school administrations and community centers where the Unbreakable Points are located. We assessed the population’s needs and discussed improving the quality of humanitarian aid for the Heating Points in preparation for the next heating season. The Foundation’s team drove about 1.5 thousand kilometers and visited Zaporizhzhia, Pavlohrad, Staryi Merchyk, Okhtyrka, and Sumy.

The visit to the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions is part of the project “Warming centers and evacuation: assisting the affected population of Ukraine” with the support of the Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.
