Tribunal for Putin, Veterans and Lost Housing: the 10th Opinion Festival Will Take Place in Kyiv
On September 12 in Kyiv, at 25 Khreshchatyk Street (KyivHall), the 10th anniversary Opinion Festival will take place. This is an annual intellectual event that brings people together for open dialogue, exchange of ideas and finding solutions for Ukraine’s future. Admission is free, prior registration is required.
This year, we are discussing what will shape Ukraine after the war and what is changing the country today. The festival topics include:
- Tribunal for Putin: Is justice for Ukraine possible?
- Civilian prisoners: Return, recognition, support
- Business that survived: Stories of adaptation and recovery
- The right to housing: Restoring homes and rebuilding trust
- Reintegration of veterans and women veterans: Undefined policy
- Memory policy: State framework and practices in hromadas
- Behind the Iron Curtain: How to overcome information isolation and reach people in the temporarily occupied territories
- Road to URC 2027: Rebuilding Ukraine – who sets the priorities?
The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The festival will also feature the “Alley of Glory”, which is a space of memory and unity dedicated to deceased employees and friends of the Foundation. At the “Wall of Remembrance”, a joint initiative of the EAST SOS Charity Foundation and the NGO Vshanui, everyone will have the opportunity to leave the name of a person who died during the russian invasion of Ukraine.
Photo exhibitions dedicated to the history of the festival and the Foundation’s mission also await guests.
This year, the festival is also an opportunity to support animals evacuated by the EAST SOS Charity Foundation from frontline areas together with their owners. You can contribute to the fundraising campaign for animal carriers.
Visitors can bring cat and dog food directly to the venue, which will be distributed to displaced persons at transit centers for evacuees.
