Heating Points and Evacuation: Assistance to the Affected Population of Ukraine

Druzhkivka is about 28 kilometers from the front line, where russian troops occasionally launch rocket attacks on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. Since the beginning of 2023, the situation has escalated due to enemy shelling.

During the heating season of 2022-2023, volunteers set up Unbreakable Points in Druzhkivka, which also serve as shelters for people who have lost their homes.This year, in March-April, Vostok SOS, in cooperation with the NGO “Nova Druzhkivka“, helped to equip the shelters and transferred them:

  • 60 pillows;
  • 20 power strips;
  • 20 headlamps;
  • 9 camping lights;
  • 2 generators;
  • 2 changing tables for the mother and baby corner;
  • 1 Starlink station;
  • 1 mobile kitchen.

We handed over five more generators to five Unbreakable Points in Zaporizhzhia in cooperation with the NGO Dobrodiy Ukraine.The activity is part of the project “Heating Points and Evacuation: assisting the affected population of Ukraine”, supported by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.
