The East SOS Charity Foundation team supported Dnipro residents affected by russian shelling
Overnight into October 22 and during the day, the russian army attacked Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, and other Ukrainian cities.
The attack on Dnipro damaged residential buildings and outbuildings.
The regional team of the EAST SOS Charity Foundation went to the site of the attack and provided support to affected residents to help them address their immediate needs.
A psychologist provided 4 consultations, helping people cope with acute stress reactions, reduce anxiety, and stabilize their emotional state after the traumatic experience. A social support specialist conducted 4 consultations on available forms of assistance, obtaining the necessary documents, and the next steps to access support. A lawyer provided 16 consultations.
“At the site of the attack, people were terrified. They told us that after the explosion, everything around them was on fire. We explained the procedure for receiving compensation under the eVidnovlennia (eRecovery) program, the necessity of registering property rights in the State Register of Property Rights, and the damage reporting algorithm. We also helped submit 2 applications for damaged housing via the Diia app. It is important that people understand what steps need to be taken and are not left alone with these matters,” said Maksym Tsymbal, a lawyer at the EAST SOS Charity Foundation \.
Assistance to the affected population was provided within the project “Strengthening Protection Mechanisms for War-Affected Population” with the support of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and funding from Norway.
