The East SOS Charity Foundation Team Has Successfully Evacuated a Family with Two Children and their Beloved Animals from the Village of Otrishky in the Dnipropetrovsk Region

Marta, 32, hesitated for a long time before making the difficult decision to evacuate. Her whole life was in the village: a cozy home, a well-kept yard, cherished memories—and, above all, a large household of animals: two goats, two dogs, four puppies, and a cat. But with each passing day, the danger grew. Enemy drones circled constantly, while air strikes and missile attacks became a terrifying routine.

In the end, Marta realized that nothing was more important than the lives of her children and animals. She gathered her 12-year-old son Anton, her 2-year-old daughter Milana, and all the pets, and left with the East SOS evacuation crew.

Just a few hours later, our team of psychologists and lawyers welcomed the family at a transit point in Pavlohrad. Their eyes showed exhaustion, fear, and anxiety—but also relief. Together, they were finally safe.

Today, Marta, Anton, Milana, and their four-legged family members are staying in a shelter in Dnipro.

Mandatory evacuation of families with children continues in the Sinelnykove district, Dnipropetrovsk region. The situation is worsening every single day—please don’t delay. Take care of your safety and the safety of your loved ones.
