Each life saved by the East SOS Charity Foundation is known to us by name. Since August 15, 2024, our teams have been actively evacuating residents of Pokrovsk and nearby settlements due to the escalation of hostilities and constant shelling by russian forces. We not only assist in evacuating people from hotspots but also provide humanitarian and legal aid, help with housing, and offer medical support at transit points.

Our efforts frequently capture the attention of international media. Over the past month, images from the evacuation missions of East SOS teams in the most dangerous areas have appeared in various publications and news agencies, including The New York Times, Reuters, NBC News, Al Jazeera, Sveriges Television AB, The Hindu, Associated Press News, and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

Since 2022, journalists have been closely following the evacuation crews, who sometimes literally carry elderly people out of half-destroyed homes, relocate frontline hospitals and geriatric facilities, and evacuate large families and pet owners from danger. Additionally, after russian forces destroyed the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station, the foundation provided aid to the victims and supported rescue efforts.

On behalf of the East SOS Charity Foundation, we extend our gratitude to the courageous journalists who expose the war crimes committed by russia against Ukraine’s civilian population. Your support is critically important for continuing our mission, as it keeps the focus on the urgent issue of evacuation and resettlement of those in danger.
