Protection and Psychosocial Support for War-Affected Populations in Ukraine’s Frontline Regions

At dawn on January 28, while most residents of Zaporizhzhia were peacefully sleeping in their homes, the russian army once again shelled one of the city’s residential neighborhoods.

As a result of the attack, six people were injured, 14 residential buildings were damaged, and windows were shattered in over 200 apartments, with doors and balconies severely damaged.

Since early morning, the EAST SOS Charity Foundation team has been on the ground supporting people experiencing severe stress following the attack. The case manager provided psychological first aid and explained what support people could receive from the foundation. In total, 20 people received consultations.

The lawyer provided consultations on compensation for damaged housing and the registration of ownership rights in the State Register of Real Rights to Immovable Property. 25 people received 33 legal services, and one family requires follow-up legal assistance.

At moments like this, no one should have to face fear and loss alone. Our team is ready to support those who need help.
