Advocacy is a powerful tool for implementing important societal changes to protect people’s rights and freedoms. That is why Yuliia Matviichuk, coordinator of the human rights department of the Charity Foundation “East SOS,” held a workshop for representatives of the public and charitable organizations on advocacy tools and models, assessing their effectiveness, planning, and implementation.

During the event, the specialist analyzed the fund’s successful cases. Special attention was paid to advocacy mechanisms and the role of expertise in implementing changes.

Among the key areas of activity of the Charity Foundation “East SOS” is advocacy for creating mechanisms and places for accommodating evacuated representatives of low-mobility groups.

“The state and society face significant challenges. We must balance creating institutions that meet European standards and preserving the lives of people who cannot wait for such institutions to be built. Shelling takes lives much faster,” emphasized Yulia Matviychuk.

The SOS East Foundation team considers it necessary to share knowledge with Ukrainian and international colleagues. Let’s bring victory closer and restore justice together!

Advocacy activities are carried out within the framework of the project “Support for war-affected representatives of vulnerable groups of the population and residents of remote territories of Ukraine” and are implemented with the financial support of the EU.
