Just a few kilometers from the frontline: East SOS Informs Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Residents of Evacuation Options
While some residents of Vasylkivske hromada (community) of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast contemplate the evacuation for the first time, for others it is a painful reminder of past experiences. The decision to evacuate from the frontline is never simple: it comes with the responsibility for the loved ones and the uncertainty of what happens after leaving.
The East SOS team has been informing frontline hromadas in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast about evacuation options since July 2025. We are working closely with local authorities and police forces to ensure proper coordination and safety. Our outreach teams are helping residents of frontline areas to make informed decisions regarding leaving, available evacuation options and provide details about the support available for evacuees and their following steps.
This is a story about the residents of frontline hromadas, who found the courage to evacuate, and the support that makes this journey possible. This story follows the heroes from the very first meeting to the start of a new life in a safer place.
