On the morning of May 21, russian forces attacked Dnipro using drones. Two women were injured, and several residential buildings sustained damage.

EAST SOS specialists were on site to assist residents of the affected buildings, providing 25 legal consultations, 11 psychological consultations, and 15 social support consultations.

“This morning, residents of a normally quiet, densely populated neighborhood woke up to a Shahed drone hitting the roof of one building. Many elderly people were very scared. Our team worked together to reassure, guide, and advise on everything the residents needed. This helped them understand what steps to take. The most emotional appeals came from those who had only recently evacuated from frontline areas,” shared EAST SOS psychologist Olha Chukhno.

📲 If you or your relatives have been affected by shelling and need assistance, call the EAST SOS hotline for legal consultations on available assistance programs. Hotline hours: Monday–Saturday, 8:00–18:00: 0800 332 614.

Consultations are also available via messengers:

📌 Legal assistance was provided as part of the project “Comprehensive Support for Vulnerable Populations: From Rescue to Recovery,” implemented as part of the multi-donor initiative “Empowering War-Affected Communities in Ukraine through Local Initiatives (EMPOWER)”, in partnership with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

📌 Psychosocial support was provided as part of the EMPOWER project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) together with the European Union and implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
