EAST SOS Team Supported Zaporizhzhia Residents Affected by a Nighttime Enemy Attack

russia continues to terrorize Zaporizhzhia residents and carry out massive attacks on the city. On the night of February 6, invaders attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. In the private residential sector, the strike left behind shattered windows, destroyed roofs, and damaged cars. The enemy also attempted to strike energy infrastructure, causing a temporary blackout that cut off power to nearly 12,000 households and a local heating plant. In the morning, it was also reported that a dog shelter had suffered severe damage and many animals had been killed.

A lawyer and a psychologist from EAST SOS went to the private residential sector to support residents of the street affected by the strike. On site, the psychologist provided 7 consultations.

“A 14-year-old boy was injured in the attack – shrapnel cut his face. Doctors provided the necessary assistance. We spoke with the boy’s mother and grandmother, helping them calm down and regain a sense of emotional stability. Residents of other damaged houses also approached us. I shared several self-regulation techniques that can help people steady themselves after the shock. We also left the EAST SOS hotline contacts and information about the support space, where people can receive further assistance from specialists,” shared Raisa Tolochko, psychologist at EAST SOS.

The lawyer provided 9 legal consultations on issues such as registering property rights in the State Register of Real Rights to Immovable Property, reporting housing damage, and handling inheritance matters.
