The shelling damaged 56 apartment buildings and private homes. including apartments and private homes, two kindergartens, two gymnasiums, a mosque, an institute building, and a tram. Nearly 2,000 windows were broken.
23 people were injured, including three children.
Psychologists provided 19 consultations on-site, helping residents calm down and recover after the traumatic experience. Lawyers consulted 49 residents on compensation claims for damaged homes and property registration in the State Register of Property Rights. Social workers provided 34 consultations.
“People came to us exhausted and confused after the night attack. Many just needed to talk and feel that there was someone to support them and guide them in the hours immediately following the shelling. They were unaware of compensation opportunities under the e-Recovery (yeVidnovlennia) program, so we referred them to our lawyers,” said EAST SOS social specialist Olena Bosa.
