East SOS Team Provided Assistance to Those Affected by Russian Shelling in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro
Lately, russia has intensified its massive attacks on Ukrainian cities, taking civilian lives and destroying residential buildings. Among the cities targeted by enemy strikes were Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, and Ternopil. May 6 was declared a day of mourning for those killed in Zaporizhzhia and Kramatorsk, while Dnipro observed a day of mourning on May 7.
Regional teams of East SOS went to the sites of russian attacks in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro to provide comprehensive support to those affected by the russian shelling on the ground.
Over the course of two days in Kharkiv, the team provided 12 legal and 7 psychological consultations.
“People were lost and kept asking what to do after the shelling: how to document property damage, where to apply, and whether compensation was possible. I explained the step-by-step process, advised them on the necessary documents, and helped them understand the next steps,” shared East SOS Lawyer Daryna Bukhova.

Yesterday in Zaporizhzhia, residents received 3 legal and 3 psychological consultations following the attacks. Psychologists helped people regain a sense of emotional stability after the stress they had endured, as residents complained of constant anxiety and sleep disturbances caused by the frequent russian attacks.

Today in Dnipro, East SOS team members provided 5 legal consultations, 3 psychological ones, and 5 consultations on access to social services.
