East SOS Provides Nearly UAH 2.5 Million Worth of Essential Equipment to Inpatient Care Homes
Comfort is often found in the simplest things, like hot water, a comfortable place to sit or rest, and the everyday appliances people depend on. In residential (inpatient) care homes, these basic things have a direct impact on people’s daily lives.
Between February 2025 and April 2026, the East SOS Charity Foundation provided nearly UAH 2.5 million worth of equipment to residential (inpatient) care homes, making essential everyday items more accessible.
The Berdychiv Geriatric Boarding Home of the Zhytomyr Oblast Council received a laundry centrifuge and an electric disinfection chamber.

The Vinnytsia Oblast Boarding Home for Persons with Disabilities and Older People received a refrigerated cabinet and four water heaters to ensure stable access to hot water.

The Korosten Geriatric Boarding Home in Zhytomyr Oblast received three freezers, 20 chair-tables, 20 mobile overbed tables, and 15 profiling beds, helping to make living conditions more comfortable for the residents.

We also continued our support for the municipal institution Centre for the Provision of Social Services in the village of Medvyn, Kyiv Oblast, where we had previously carried out repairs. Our specialists regularly visit the center to provide psychosocial support. This time, we delivered five refrigerators, 21 interior doors, kitchen equipment, ceiling construction materials, and a shower trolley to help ensure safer and more dignified hygiene care for persons with disabilities.

The Residential Care Home for Persons with Disabilities and Older People in the village of Tyvriv, Vinnytsia Oblast, received a laundry centrifuge, a dishwasher, two refrigerated cabinets, and two freezer cabinets.

We will continue this support, several more residential care homes next in line to receive assistance.
The assistance was provided as part of the project “Improving Living Conditions in the Previously Repaired Care Facilities” No. K-UKR-2025-4038, implemented by CF East SOS under a partnership agreement with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.
Previously, we shared the story of Nataliia, a teacher in Izium and how the East SOS team restored the roof of her home.
