East SOS Joins Presentation of the Alliance of Ukrainian CSOs’ Annual Report and 2026 Operational Plan
On February 5, 2026, the Alliance of Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations, which includes East SOS, presented its 2025 Annual Report and 2026 Operational Plan.
The event brought together around 100 participants, both offline and online, including Ukrainian civil society organizations (CSOs), international NGOs, representatives of donor institutions, and the United Nations. During the meeting, Alliance members highlighted key achievements of 2025 and outlined strategic priorities for 2026 within the framework of the Localization Strategy.
Oksana Kuiantseva, Board Member at East SOS, delivered a detailed presentation on advocacy efforts within the comprehensive evacuation cycle.
In 2025, growing trust within the community fostered the development of new cooperation mechanisms – from the creation of consortia to the introduction of pooled funding concepts and a harmonized verification system. Ukrainian CSOs acted not only as participants but also as co-designers of solutions, contributing to the development of financial instruments, strategic documents, and approaches aimed at strengthening the Duty of Care culture.
Today, Ukrainian organizations continue to grow, unite their efforts, and position themselves as equal partners in shaping humanitarian and recovery policies.
In 2026, we are transitioning from “building capacity” to “setting global standards” by focusing on four key priorities:
- Advocacy and Influence – strengthening national and global policies.
- Knowledge and Leadership – developing Ukraine as a hub for education and research.
- Access to Resources – promoting transparent financial mechanisms and direct funding for local organizations.
- Duty of Care – investing in the safety and well-being of those who help others.
“Our goal is to consolidate the experience of local organizations in humanitarian response during a full-scale war and transform it into systematic approaches that can serve as a roadmap for global reforms. We want Ukraine to become an architect of humanitarian solutions – a country whose experience is studied, relied upon, and integrated into international standards,” said Oksana Kuiantseva, Board Member of East SOS.

Only through joint action can we harmonize approaches, strengthen the sector, and establish the Ukrainian model of humanitarian response as a systemic foundation for a sustainable future.
