Comprehensive Support for Vulnerable Populations: From Rescue to Recovery

In the past few days, russian forces have intensified attacks on Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kramatorsk, Pavlohrad, Bila Tserkva, and others. They continue targeting civilian infrastructure and residential areas.

According to Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, a residential building in Pavlohrad was damaged during a morning shelling. Ten people were injured, including a 6-year-old boy. Four of them are hospitalized.

The EAST SOS team went to the site to support the residents affected by the shelling. The psychologist provided 7 consultations to help people cope with stress, and the lawyer advised 21 residents on applying for compensation for damaged property and registering ownership in the State Register of Property Rights.

“People were shocked. Some couldn’t even speak, others were silent, as if they couldn’t believe it had happened to them. Seeing broken windows and ruined, dusty, glass-covered belongings was overwhelming. It was especially difficult to explain that without proper documents, they could lose or delay access to compensation under the eVidnovlennya program,” shared EAST SOS lawyer Maksym Tsymbal.

If you or your loved ones were affected by enemy shelling, call the EAST SOS hotline for legal consultation on available support programs, Monday–Saturday, 8:00–18:00: 0 800 332 614.

Consultations are also available via messengers:

Support was provided within the EMPOWER project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) together with the European Union, implemented by GIZ Ukraine.
