Support for the Evacuation of Civilians

Every day, the evacuation crews of East SOS travel to frontline hromadas to help people escape danger. Keeping our vehicles in proper working condition is essential to carrying out this mission. The reliability of our fleet directly affects the safety of both evacuees and our crews, the continuity of evacuation operations, and our ability to respond quickly to rescue requests from areas where the security situation is rapidly deteriorating.

East SOS is launching a new civilian evacuation project with the support of KSE Foundation, the charitable foundation of the Kyiv School of Economics. Through this partnership, we will continue assisting people living under the constant threat of shelling, including families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

As part of the project, we plan to evacuate nearly 300 people from Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The project will also enable us to repair one of our evacuation buses, ensuring that we can continue evacuating people.

“Vehicle repairs and maintenance are among our largest ongoing expenses, yet they are also some of the hardest to secure stable funding for. Keeping our fleet up to date is equally challenging, as the vehicles operate under extremely demanding conditions every day. The support from KSE Foundation is an excellent example of how funding directed toward operational needs helps keep evacuation vehicles on the road,” said Yevheniia Tkachuk, Evacuation Coordinator at East SOS.

Thanks to funding of UAH 828,536, hundreds of Ukrainians will be able to reach safety through reliable and secure evacuation.

The project is being implemented by East SOS with the support of KSE Foundation, the charitable foundation of the Kyiv School of Economics.
