EAST SOS Allocated More Than UAH 255,000 to Support Mahdalynivka Central Hospital
Taking a shower, changing into clean clothes, and resting on fresh bed sheets are basic things that help people feel more comfortable during treatment. It is crucial that these basic necessities are accessible to everyone.
Mahdalynivka Central Hospital in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast provides 24/7 specialized inpatient and outpatient medical care to the residents of local hromada and neighboring settlements, including people evacuated from frontline areas. The EAST SOS Charity Foundation provided the facility with hygiene products, care supplies, and household appliances worth UAH 255,960.
The East SOS Charity Foundation delivered hygiene kits, care items, and essential household appliances worth UAH 255,960 to the facility. This assistance will cover the daily needs of 28 individuals.
The following supplies were provided to support five aspects of daily care:
- Regular laundry. Three washing machines and 100 kg of laundry detergent to ensure patients have consistent access to clean clothing.
- Fresh bedding and towels. A total of 100 bedding sets and 150 towels were provided to ensure that the hospital has sufficient supplies for daily use.
- Personal hygiene. Liquid soap, shampoo, toilet paper, disposable towels, and wet wipes are products people use every day. The hospital now has a supply of these items for male and female patients.
- Daily care. Adult diapers, disposable underpads, and gloves help staff care for patients requiring constant support, with respect for their comfort and dignity.
- Cleanliness in shared spaces. Dishwashing detergents, floor and sanitaryware cleaners, and garbage bags will help maintain cleanliness in wards and common areas used by people daily.
“Being in a hospital can make people feel anxious, overwhelmed, or hesitant to ask for help. We want patients to feel supported and receive the care they need with complete respect for their dignity. That is why we support hospitals, giving their teams more resources to care for every patient and allowing patients to focus on their recovery,” said Rafael Karapetyan, Project Manager at EAST SOS.

The assistance was provided under the project “Integrated full-cycle assistance for vulnerable IDPs in Ukraine,” No. K-UKR-2026-9004 / No. F-PF-2-Team2-321.50/HuHi-2000010002, implemented under a cooperation agreement with Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
