Donation in Action: East SOS Provides Assistance Worth Over UAH 150,000 to a State Emergency Service Unit in Donetsk Oblast

Hi! I’m Theo, the four-legged executive assistant to an East SOS Board Member. My usual job is making sure everyone on the team gives dogs enough pets. But today I have an important mission: to tell you how your donations are helping rescuers and service dogs in Donetsk Oblast.

In April and May 2026, thanks to your donations, East SOS purchased and delivered more than UAH 150,000 worth of assistance to the Special-Purpose Emergency Rescue Unit of the State Emergency Service (SES) in Donetsk Oblast.

We also provided construction materials for repairs and equipment to support the rescuers in their work. And, of course, we didn’t forget two of my fellow four-legged friends: they received protective dog boots and trackers with GPS collars.

This equipment helps service dogs work more safely among debris, across rough terrain, and during search and rescue operations. The GPS tracking also allows canine handlers to monitor the dogs’ movements while they are carrying out their missions.
