Blackouts and the challenges of the 2022-2023 heating season have forced Ukrainians to look for alternative home heating sources. The issue was particularly acute for residents of the de-occupied and frontline territories. Interruptions in electricity, gas, and heating supply caused by constant hostile shelling have significantly impacted civilian lives.

At the end of 2022, the Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation team joined the response plan, and this year in February-March, 700 stoves and chimney kits were handed over to 16 regions of Ukraine.

The assistance was provided to low-income groups, war-affected people, and IDPs living in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Donetsk, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Rivne, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, and Poltava regions. This allowed the residents to finish the heating season without any obstacles and prepare for the next one.

The charitable aid was purchased within the framework of the project «Providing socially vulnerable groups with heating means for the winter period» with the support of the TIDES Foundation.
