From Evacuation to Recovery: Integrated Protection and Dignity-Centered Support for Conflict-Affected Civilians

Project goal

The goal of the project is to contribute to the protection and well-being of conflict-affected populations in Ukraine by ensuring safe evacuation, access to integrated protection services, and dignity-centered living conditions for the most vulnerable groups, including older people, persons with disabilities, and families with children.

Project objectives
  • Ensure the timely and safe evacuation of vulnerable populations from frontline areas and regions affected by hostilities;
  • Provide comprehensive protection and psychosocial support to recently evacuated vulnerable individuals in transit centers through individual psychosocial counseling, as well as legal assistance and support;
  • Ensure adequate sanitation and hygiene conditions for evacuees at the “Ocean of Kindness” transit shelter by providing institutional WASH and hygiene supplies;
  • Improve the quality and accessibility of care services in 5 residential care facilities for IDPs and individuals requiring care by ensuring they are appropriately equipped;
  • Provide winter support to 4 residential care facilities and collective accommodation sites) by supplying fuel for heating;
  • Strengthen the organizational capacity of the project team through staff training, which will contribute to improving the quality and inclusivity of service delivery.
