From Evacuation to Recovery: Integrated Protection and Dignity-Centered Support for Conflict-Affected Civilians

The project aims to provide comprehensive, multisectoral support to the most vulnerable groups of the population affected by the conflict in frontline regions and regions with a high level of internally displaced persons, including families with children, older people, and people with disabilities. 

Component 1. Evacuation and Protection

• Post-assistance monitoring following integrated evacuation and protection support.
• Hotline operation; provision of information on protection issues; outreach visits to hromadas; registration and coordination of evacuation requests; receiving feedback and complaints.
• Emergency relocation and evacuation support for vulnerable people; coordination of evacuation routes; transportation using specially equipped vehicles; transfer to transit/receiving facilities.
• Individual and group psychosocial support, crisis interventions, short and medium-term PSS, and social counselling in transit and reception settings.
• Legal consultations and information counselling on documentation, obtaining IDP status, social benefits, housing, compensation, property, inheritance, and access to services.
• Individual needs assessments, development of individual support plans, referrals, social accompaniment, follow-up support, and coordination of assistance for the most vulnerable evacuees.
• Strengthening the capacity of project teams on protection issues, including training on monitoring, data quality, safe and inclusive service delivery, protection principles, and operational security.

Component 2. Living Conditions in Facilities

• Post-assistance monitoring at the facility level: WASH/hygiene, institutional non-food items, accessibility equipment, household appliances, and insulation.
• Distribution/provision of institutional WASH and hygiene kits for transit accommodation; hygiene kits during evacuation; and supplies for laundry and bedding maintenance.
• Procurement and provision of WASH/hygiene supplies for the NGO Center for Social Adaptation of People with Disabilities “Ocean of Good” in Dnipro and/or other supported transit facilities.
• Provision and installation of furniture, household appliances, functional beds, assistive devices, accessibility adaptations, fire safety equipment, sanitary materials, and operational equipment.
• Procurement, delivery, installation, assembly, and placement of institutional furniture, equipment, assistive devices, accessibility-related solutions, and equipment for shared use.
• Procurement and delivery of firewood/fuel for heating residential care facilities and collective accommodation sites.

• Provision and delivery of firewood for supported facilities.
