About us:

Since 2014, the CF “Vostok SOS” has been helping victims of russian aggression. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, the Foundation’s activities have grown significantly. We are now working in 20 regions of Ukraine: evacuate and accommodate people from the frontline areas, repair shelters and centers for accommodation of IDPs. The Foundation is also actively involved in providing humanitarian aid, documenting war crimes, and conducting workshops for educators.

What will you do?

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of the context and development of the security situation in the country.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve the team’s security while working in the frontline and de-occupied territories.
  • Manage the process of conducting security needs assessments; producing high-quality analysis and reports regularly.
  • Support the daily implementation of safety and security procedures locally.
  • Actively monitor violence-related risk management measures through on-site monitoring visits and information sharing with staff and stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective implementation of protection measures by collecting data and developing/reviewing relevant tools.
  • Conduct further investigations into incidents or situations if necessary/requested.
  • Develop appropriate security procedures and records and keep them up to date.
  • Provide regular training on cruitical security issues for stakeholders and team members.
  • Develop high-quality information materials on available services, mine risk education, evacuation process, etc.

Situational awareness:

  • Keeping abreast of political, economic, and other security factors in all areas of the Foundation’s activity.
  • Track the location of staff and beneficiaries. Monitor staffing levels and be prepared to rapidly find a team in emergencies.

Qualifications and skills:

  • 2+ years of proven work experience in NGOs;
  • work experience in the security sector;
  • fluency in Ukrainian, C1 English level.
