Vostok SOS USA officially started its work

News
10.02.2023

Great news from us! The Charitable Foundation “Vostok SOS” has now got a partner organization in the United States of America!

Vostok SOS USA officially started its work this month, which means more people around the world will know how to help Ukrainians.

The idea of expansion emerged in the summer of 2022. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, US citizen Sean Kennedy volunteered at the border and helped internally displaced persons. When Sean saw the foundation’s social media platforms, he offered cooperation and support. Together, we started planning the creation of Vostok SOS USA to share information about the needs of Ukrainians.

New colleagues already arrived in Ukraine. We have conducted monitoring missions to communities in Chernihiv and Dnipro regions.

In Dnipro, we have shown our guests the evacuation process and visited the Center for Temporary Shelter for people with disabilities evacuated from the war zone and frontline areas.

In Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, we have seen the distribution of humanitarian aid. The final point of the plan is to visit a Safe Space for women and children in the city of Kropyvnytskyi.

We will continue to share our results and report on the support of Americans. Follow the news on the social media platforms of Vostok SOS USA: Facebook and Instagram.
