Vostok SOS supplied the residents of frontline towns in the Kharkiv region with electric stoves, heaters, OSB boards, and hygiene kits.

Vovchansk is located 10 kilometers from the Ukrainian-russian border. The city was occupied on the first day of the full-scale invasion and was liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in September.

Residents have suffered greatly due to constant enemy shelling and 200 days of russian occupation. The lack of heating has complicated the situation.

In February and March, Vostok SOS provided the residents of Vovchansk with the following:

  • 1000 hygiene kits;
  • 520 OSB boards (for damaged houses owners);
  • 500 electric heaters;
  • 200 electric stoves.

Assistance was provided to all categories of people in need: children, women, men, and older people. The activity is part of the project “Humanitarian aid, evacuation, and winter assistance to war victims in Ukraine” with the support of Terre des hommes.

Vostok SOS helps local foundations and organizations. The Foundation does not deliver humanitarian aid to families. Local authorities and public sector representatives (foundations, NGOs, humanitarian headquarters, etc.) can submit a request.

You can get help by submitting an official request to the Foundation. If you represent a charitable foundation or NGO, please download the request by the link. The document contains information on the procedure and further steps.
