Providing Socially Vulnerable Populations with Heating Means for the Winter Period

The last autumn and winter period was a real challenge for Ukrainians. Enemy shelling by russia caused a large-scale power outage. The low temperature in homes forced people to look for heating means, but the demand caused a great rush and price increases. The Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation team helped to solve the problem. This year, in March, we delivered 1667 heaters to 20 regions of Ukraine.

The assistance was given to representatives of low-income groups, war-affected people, and IDPs living in the Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Chernivtsi, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kyiv, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Ternopil, Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Rivne, and Volyn regions. We also handed over 225 heaters to 11 municipal institutions in the Zaporizhzhia region, including psychoneurological boarding schools, pre-schools, shelters, a perinatal center, a geriatric boarding house, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region and the regional clinical hospital.

Another 25 heaters were given to representatives of low-income groups, war victims and IDPs living in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The charitable aid was purchased as part of the project “Providing socially vulnerable groups with heating means for the winter period” with the support of the TIDES Foundation.
