The renovation of the territorial centre in Neresnytsia of the Transcarpathian region has started and we are glad to share our first results!

The building of the territorial social service centre in Neresnytsia has not been used for many years. After reconstruction, it will become a shelter for IDPs with disabilities and people with limited mobility.

The shelter will be able to accommodate 35-40 people. We will provide it with all necessary equipment, such as an elevator for people with limited mobility, which costs about 800 000 UAH.

Bathrooms, WCs and bedrooms will be well furnished. We will also create a separate space for staff and a food serving room. People who face difficulties with moving without assistance will receive meals directly to their bedrooms.

“There are certain difficulties during the renovation of the institution: the floor has not been used for a long time and there are no engineering networks, such as water supply, sewerage, etc. There are no windows, the ceiling is leaking and the surfaces are uneven. The team of builders is currently eliminating these problems,” comments Iryna Serchenko, the coordinator of repair and construction works of the Charitable Foundation “Vostok SOS”.
