“Renovation begins with you”. In collaboration with the Project Nadiya student initiative, the Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation restored 37 houses.

In August and September 2023, we restored 37 private houses damaged by the russian occupiers. Our partners from the German student organization Project Nadiya and your donations supported the initiative.

The project implementation began in March this year. Timo Vogt, a German volunteer, and Yevhen Holovanevskyi, the Vostok SOS project coordinator, monitored the settlements of the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions to evaluate the harm done to civil infrastructure.

“The full-scale russian invasion has caused serious harm in the eastern part of Ukraine. I have spent a lot of time on the front line since the start of the large-scale invasion as an independent security advisor and participant in Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation evacuation missions. I could feel the scale of the catastrophe. “People had broken windows and roofs throughout the previous winter, so I decided to help the Ukrainians and joined the recovery effort with the aid of the German charity Project Nadiya, which gave a set of necessary tools and a car for monitoring and work,” said Timo.

With the help of the donations, we purchased a significant quantity of building supplies and immediately began replacing windows and repairing roofs in the Kharkiv region. 13 houses have been fixed in the village of Zahryzove in the Borovsk community and 24 in the town of Izium.

We appreciate the support of the Project Nadiya organization and all those who care for the donations. We can assist frontline residents on winter’s eve because of our combined efforts. Please continue to help us because we still have a lot of work to accomplish!
