Консорціум реагування в Україні: Надання міжсекторальної гуманітарної допомоги постраждалому від конфлікту населенню в Україні (2023-2024 рр.)

A series of free-of charge training courses aimed at developing business skills and supporting people aspiring to start their own business has wrapped up in the “Zatyshno Space” network’s Safe Spaces in Cherkasy and Kropyvnytskyi.

118 women and men took part in programs covering various aspects of entrepreneurship: from submitting grant applications and accounting to strategic thinking training.

In Cherkasy, the participants successfully completed the “Grant Application Writing” course, while in Kropyvnytskyi, the focus was on “Women’s Leadership.” The “Accounting for Individual Entrepreneurs” course was attended in both cities.

“During the training sessions, we studied resources for finding funding and worked on our own projects with cost estimates. As a result, each participant submitted at least one grant application, and some even submitted five! Several girls have already been shortlisted for the eRobota program and international grants, and we are waiting for the final results. I’m pleased to see that many of the graduates are continuing their studies in our new programs!” said Svitlana Obmaniuk, the trainer of the “Grant Application Writing” course from Cherkasy.

Business training sessions and games, such as “Life Capital,” “Universe of Kindred Minds,” “Journey Through Chaos,” and others have become a powerful tool for learning. For many participants, they became a training ground where they could more clearly understand their strengths and prospects.

“The series of training sessions focused on developing emotional intelligence and effective leadership skills, as well as deepening knowledge in crisis communication. The course participants are people aged 18 and over who are navigating various life challenges but remain eager to be active, resourceful, and enjoy life no matter what,” said Oksana Netrebenko, the trainer of the “Women’s Leadership” course in Kropyvnytskyi.

Such activities are not just theoretical but a real resource for those aspiring to start or improve their own business. Read about the plans of the course graduates in the carousel.

Let us recall that in early December, 48 women from Mykolaiv and Cherkasy completed their training in financial literacy and business basics.

The courses were implemented as part of the project “Response Consortium in Ukraine:Providing Cross-Sectoral Humanitarian Assistance to Conflict-Affected Populations in Ukraine” with financial support from the USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance. The CF “East-SOS” is an implementing partner of the humanitarian organization CARE.
