Our Coalition’s Story Included in the Longlist of the Responsibility Award 2025

The joint story of the Coalition of organizations working to protect the rights of victims of the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine has been selected for the longlist of the Responsibility Award 2025. We are honored to be among the 65 strongest examples of responsibility and civic engagement out of 165 submitted stories.
For us, this recognition highlights more than ten years of systematic work carried out by the Coalition, of which we are a part together with Donbas SOS, CrimeaSOS, Right to Protection, Civil Holding “GROUP OF INFLUENCE”, Stabilization Support Services, Crimean Human Rights Group, and the Human Rights Center ZMINA.
Since 2014, we have been combining efforts to ensure that the voices of people with experience of forced displacement, residents of temporarily occupied territories, illegally detained civilians, and families of missing persons are heard – and that their rights are effectively protected. For us, partnership is not only cooperation, but a tool for real change and meaningful influence on public policy.
The Responsibility Award 2025 was established in 2021 by the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation and is based on the Declaration of Human Responsibility created by Bohdan Hawrylyshyn. The award recognizes initiatives implemented through cooperation between different sectors of society. The key message of 2025 is: “Responsibility unites, and unity multiplies change.”
We sincerely thank the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation, the Responsibility Award organizers, and all our partners who are working together to develop responsible solutions in times of war:
