Iryna Tverdokhlibova from Dnipro decided to draw attention to the elderly and disabled Ukrainians who had lost their homes due to russian aggression. Evacuated from dangerous settlements, these people fall under the care of volunteers of the Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation. Everyone is looking for a decent shelter according to their state of health. It is increasingly difficult — there are not enough specialized places, so the Vostok SOS Dnipro team decided to create its shelter.
Iryna found out about this plan on the eve of leaving for Krakow. A fan of running, she has planned public runs in several European cities. The runner in a T-shirt with the Vostok SOS logo and the Ukrainian flag has already been seen in Krakow and Warsaw. Ira talks about her mission on Strava, a mobile service and social network for athletes around the world. In her account, Iryna talks about her routes and the goal – to collect donations for opening and equipping a shelter for the elderly in Dnipro.

“How can I personally help my country? I decided to support the project of creating a shelter for evacuees from dangerous regions of Ukraine and take part in a charity run through the cities of Europe.Together with the project, I want to draw attention to elderly people who need special attention. They can no longer do much on their own, and the main thing is to escape from the war. I plan to start with Krakow and end with Dnipro! I will run a short distance, at a slow pace.I invite everyone who wants to support the shelter project for people with reduced mobility in Dnipro.”
