Integrated Relief Support for Vulnerable Populations in Severely Affected Areas of Kharkiv Oblast

Since early 2026, the East SOS Kharkiv regional team, in partnership with the League of Goodness CF (liga.dobra.kh), has been working on the ground in the Izium, Staryi Saltiv, and Malynivka hromadas (communities). Residents here face daily shelling and constant threats, with little to no access to professional assistance.

During these missions, the East SOS team provided free psychological, social, and legal consultations. Meanwhile, the League of Goodness CF team supported residents with essential humanitarian aid, including hygiene kits.

This combined effort ensures comprehensive support for people living in these hromadas.

Our specialists provided advice on state benefits and social allowances, restoring lost documents, and processing inheritance claims. They also assisted residents in filing compensation claims for damaged or destroyed property through the e-Recovery (yeVidnovlennia) program via the Diia app.

Our psychologists provided support for issues related to constant anxiety, sleep disorders, emotional fatigue, and fear for the future, helping to stabilize emotional well-being.

“During the visits, people most often reach out with feelings of anxiety and pain caused by the loss of their homes. Many of them struggle with sleep disorders: insomnia, frequent awakenings, or constantly checking their phones at night. They often mention feeling exhausted. People frequently hide their pain because they have no one to share it with. But after a consultation, they thank me for being there,” said Maryna Yunasheva, a psychologist at the East SOS team.

If you require a visit from the psychosocial and legal support team to the settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast, you can submit a request via the East SOS hotline, which operates Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM): 0 800 332 614

This activity is carried out as part of the Comprehensive Assistance for Vulnerable Population Groups in the Most Affected Areas of Kharkiv Region project, in partnership with the League of Goodness Foundation, with funding from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).

Recently, we shared how we supported the residents of Zaporizhzhia after the enemy’s overnight attack.
