East SOS and Ukrzaliznytsia Rescue 25 Civilians from Frontline Areas
The East SOS team, together with its partners, evacuated one child and 24 adults from Druzhkivka, Lyman, Kramatorsk, and Serhiivka amid intense shelling.
Our team carried out door-to-door evacuations in extremely dangerous areas, transporting people to transit centers where they received comprehensive legal, psychological, and logistical support. The evacuees were then taken to railway stations in Lozova and Dnipro.
At the stations, railway workers stepped in to provide further assistance. They helped people with limited mobility board the trains and ensured they received the necessary care and support.
Ukrzaliznytsia transported the passengers free of charge to Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, and Khust. Upon arrival, volunteers and representatives of regional administrations met them and arranged safe and comfortable accommodation.
Every day, Ukrzaliznytsia works to ensure that people reach safer regions of Ukraine. We are deeply grateful to all train crews, dispatchers, volunteers, and partners involved in evacuation efforts. Your work is invaluable.
Together, we bring people to safety!
In January, East SOS and Ukrzaliznytsia transported 80 people to safer cities.
