Donation in Action: In August, the East SOS Charity Foundation allocated over UAH 77,000 to support a Fire and Rescue Unit in the Sumy region

Frontline communities face daily enemy attacks. Constant shelling destroys homes, schools, and infrastructure. In remote settlements, the heightened danger makes it impossible for emergency services to respond in full. In such conditions, people lose their sense of stability and security, and every day becomes a challenge. That is why support to frontline communities not only helps protect people but also strengthens their resilience and sustainability.
To reinforce the fire and rescue team in Velyka Pysarivka (Sumy region), East SOS purchased equipment worth UAH 77,319. The delivery included shovels, buckets, ropes, axes, belts, fire extinguishers, and a ladder – everything needed for a quick response in emergency situations.
“We realize how difficult it is when emergency services cannot arrive in time. That is why we want to provide these villages with basic means and equipment for protection in critical situations,” – Oksana Kolesnyk, Humanitarian Manager at East SOS.
East SOS systematically supports units of the State Emergency Service in Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro regions. Previously, the foundation has supplied personal protective equipment (bulletproof vests, active headphones, ballistic goggles, and helmets), tools for clearing rubble, extinguishing fires, demining, and construction materials for shelter arrangements.
