Donation in Action: East SOS Charity Foundation Allocated UAH 250,000 for Electronic Warfare Systems for the State Emergency Service (SES) of the Kherson Region in August

Russians deliberately target rescue operations, using a tactic of repeated strikes: after the first attack, they often hit those who arrive to extinguish fires, rescue people from the rubble, or evacuate the injured. This has become a deadly daily reality for SES workers in frontline areas.

By the end of June 2025, 105 SES employees had been killed and 502 injured since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Such attacks on rescuers are a gross violation of international humanitarian law and war crimes for which russia must be held accountable.

To strengthen protection and safety, East SOS procured and delivered an 8-band DRONOPAD AUTO electronic warfare system worth UAH 250,000 to SES units in the Kherson region. This support will help rescuers save lives, homes, and infrastructure faster and with greater safety.

“This is not the first time we have provided the SES with electronic warfare devices and drone detection systems. Unfortunately, due to ongoing russian shelling in frontline areas, the number of civilian casualties is increasing. That is why we must systematically support the rescuers so that they can work quickly and safely,” – Oksana Kolesnyk, Humanitarian Director at East SOS.

East SOS also provides systematic support to SES units in the Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro regions. The foundation has already delivered: personal protective equipment (bulletproof vests, active headphones, ballistic goggles, helmets), tools for debris removal, firefighting, and demining, construction materials for arranging shelters.

The deliberate targeting of personnel, facilities, materials, units, or vehicles engaged in humanitarian assistance constitutes a war crime under Article 8(2)(iii) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

Join us and support our fundraising! East SOS is raising UAH 2 million to purchase electronic warfare (EW) devices for our evacuation crews. Every contribution makes a difference. Your donation helps save lives.
