Millions of Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes due to russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. In new communities and shelters, they are rebuilding their lives and seeking stability, comfort, and dignity. In September and October 2025, the East SOS Charity Foundation provided humanitarian aid worth UAH 144,697, funded entirely through donations. The funds were used to purchase medical equipment for three individuals with disabilities and to equip a shelter in the town of Pereshchepyne, Dnipropetrovsk region, thereby making their lives more comfortable and dignified.

  • For the shelter in Pereshchepyne, donations were used to provide 20 single beds with mattresses, 4 wardrobes, 3 kitchen sets (tables and chairs), and 2 bedside tables. These supplies will help people affected by the war create a sense of home and restore daily comfort.
  • For Anastasia, an internally displaced person from Pokrov in the Dnipropetrovsk region who has a first-degree disability and cannot move independently, the team purchased and delivered a functional medical bed. The equipment, worth UAH 34,730, will make caregiving much easier for her family.
  • An anti-decubitus cushion, worth UAH 7,999, was purchased for Oleksandr, an internally displaced person from the Donetsk region currently living in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This assistance will improve his daily comfort and quality of life.
  • Additionally, a hearing aid worth UAH 1,999 was delivered to 95-year-old Yevhenia, a resident of the Okhtyrka Nursing Home for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities. The device will significantly enhance her ability to communicate with others, including the caregivers who support her.

“Donations are a manifestation of care that compassionate people pass on to others. We continue combining our efforts to make this support tangible for everyone who needs it – to help them organize their everyday life, restore their dignity, and bring peace back to their daily routine,” said Oksana Kolesnyk, Humanitarian Director at East SOS.
