Providing Socially Vulnerable Populations with Heating Means for the Winter Period

Since the autumn of 2022, Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been subjected to dozens of massive russian attacks. Millions of people faced the daily lack of electricity and heat in their homes.

Institutions that sheltered people with limited mobility, war-affected people, and IDPs experienced an acute problem. Due to constant blackouts, the staff had to find an alternative for continuously heating the premises.

This year, in February, we helped to solve the problem and provided firewood to 26 shelters in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipro, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Bukovyna, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. This enabled the shelters to finish the winter season successfully and prepare for the next one. If you put all the firewood delivered in one pile, the height would exceed Hoverla.

The charitable aid was purchased as part of the project «Providing socially vulnerable groups with heating means for the winter period» with the support of the TIDES Foundation.
