Protection and Psychosocial Support for War-Affected Populations in Ukraine’s Frontline Regions
The project aims to support war-affected individuals by providing individual consultations with psychosocial and legal specialists, professional development opportunities through courses, trainings, and workshops, events promoting social adaptation and emotional recovery. These activities take place in safe and welcoming environments known as Zatyshno Spaces, as well as through mobile psychosocial and legal support teams operating in the Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.
The project’s activities also include:
- Assistance with employment
- Support in accessing social benefits
- Information campaigns
- Support for survivors of gender-based violence
- Organization of self-help groups and community socialization events
The effectiveness of the project is ensured through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to addressing the needs of beneficiaries in frontline regions. This approach involves the coordinated work of case managers, lawyers, social workers, psychologists, and children’s educators.
The project provides comprehensive psychosocial and legal support to war-affected individuals in Ukraine’s frontline regions, with a particular focus on reducing the risks of gender-based violence (GBV) and raising awareness of reproductive health issues.
- Address the life challenges of war-affected individuals through comprehensive social, psychological, legal support, and case management services.
- Increase awareness among war-affected populations regarding issues of gender-based violence (GBV) and reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (WGSS topics).
- Promote the socialization and emotional recovery of adults and children living in frontline areas by organizing community events, workshops, art therapy sessions, and mutual support groups.
