Winterization Assistance for War-Affected Populations in Northeastern and Southern Ukraine
The project aims to deliver urgent winterization support to residents of de-occupied, frontline, and heavily shelled regions where critical infrastructure has been severely damaged, and access to electricity, water, and gas is either disrupted or entirely unavailable.
To improve the living conditions of individuals and families affected by hostilities by providing essential resources that ensure warmth and safety during the winter months.
To support people living in extremely difficult circumstances due to infrastructure destruction caused by russian attacks and the absence of basic utilities.
To mitigate the negative consequences of russian military aggression and strengthen the resilience of local communities facing crisis situations.
Ensuring Heat and Comfort in Households:
- Firewood Supply: Distribution of firewood to private households and locations of compact residence to ensure heating where centralized systems are absent.
- Solid Fuel Boilers: Provision of solid fuel boilers to families, enabling efficient home heating despite damaged or destroyed infrastructure.
Support for Living Conditions:
- Heaters: Supplying heaters to compact living spaces to maintain safe indoor temperatures for people facing hardship and displacement.
- Warm Kits: Distribution of comprehensive warm kits, including blankets, pillows, bed linen, and thermal underwear, to enhance comfort and protect vulnerable individuals from the cold.
Support for Power Supply and Autonomy:
- Generators and Charging Stations: Provision of generators and mobile charging stations to ensure uninterrupted power supply in frontline and de-occupied areas. These resources are essential for maintaining basic living conditions and enabling the continued operation of critical infrastructure.
Ensuring Safety and Security:
- Shelter Equipment for Educational Institutions: Procurement of essential materials and equipment for the construction of shelters in schools. This initiative aims to protect students, and school staff during air raids and armed conflict.
