Assistance to Residents of Areas Affected by Active Hostilities and the Destruction of the Kakhovka Dam by Providing Essential Building Materials for Light Repairs and Winterization Efforts
Creating a sustainable environment for residents of frontline communities affected by the hostilities by providing basic housing conditions and social support.
The project involves not only the physical restoration of housing, but also the creation of a positive social impact aimed at improving the psycho-emotional state of the local population.
Another aspect is shaping public perception of life in the Donetsk region both within Ukraine and internationally.
The project focuses on two priority areas:
1. Support for communities in frontline and deoccupied areas.
Many residents in these regions choose to return home as soon as active hostilities subside, despite difficult and dangerous living conditions and lack of critical infrastructure.
2. Assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) from vulnerable groups
Special attention is given to older adults and persons with disabilities who require tailored support, including safe evacuation, housing reconstruction, and access to essential social services. According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), approximately 3.5 million IDPs reside across various regions of Ukraine, with the majority in need of sustained and comprehensive assistance.
Providing effective and systematic assistance in the reconstruction of housing damaged by hostilities, with the aim of improving living conditions, fostering social optimism, and promoting community integration.
